Teddy’s Hike for the Community Kitchen
Teddy’s Hike was created by a former guest of the Community Kitchen to help raise funds and awareness for the organization. Teddy, who was homeless for two and a half years, would often go to the Community Kitchen not just for food, but also to connect with others. Teddy obtained housing in December of 2017, and the first Teddy’s Hike took place the following year. The hike is a physical representation of how people walked alongside him on his journey. Teddy’s story of connection, belonging, and support is just one of the many stories of the people the Community Kitchen serves.
2024 is the 7th year for Teddy’s Hike. This year the event will be held at the Benson Sculpture Garden Gazebo, in Loveland, CO. This family-friendly event begins at 11:00 AM. Lunch will be provided at the conclusion of the event.
