Art Studio Tour Returns with 18 Art Studios, Galleries
The free event features 35 talented artists and is open to the public

The free Loveland Art Studio Tour celebrates its 16th anniversary this month when it returns on Oct. 12-13 and 19-20, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. each weekend.

During the two weekends in October, visit artists in their studios, pop-up studios and galleries. Watch as painters, potters, jewelers, sculptors, and multi-media artists create their beautiful works of art and purchase original pieces directly from them.

There are 18 stops on this year’s tour and more than 30 artists taking part. A few highlights include:

  • Brightly colored paintings displayed by Billie Colson at her gallery, Independence Gallery, located at 233 E. 4th Street.
  • Work by three artists at Lincoln Gallery, 429 N. Lincoln Avenue, including Kay Keyes Farrar who paints contemporary impressionist works of skyscapes, flowers, fruit and more.
  • Abstract painter Shell Ray who will exhibit her harmonious pieces at 175 S. Madison Ave.
  • Sustainable artwork created using found objects, wood and mixed media by artist Anne Legge at 705 Colorado Ave.
  • Mixed-media artist Amelia Furman, known for her nature-inspired pieces that combine photography, collage and painting, will showcase her work at the Forge Campus located at 815 14th St. SW.
  • Contemporary western artist Malena Hirschfield, who paints animal focused artwork featuring wildlife, horses and more will be at the Forge Campus location (815 14th St. SW), along with six additional artists, including Angi Beauheim, Jennifer Bunge, Kris Grauvogi, Melissa Pape, Karin Soderholm and Debra Stranger.

“The Loveland Art Studio Tour provides a unique, annual opportunity for all ages interested in the arts to see what art is happening right in their neighborhoods,” said Executive Director Jill Atchison. “For many, this can be a life-changing experience, especially for students who are interested in pursuing art, but have limited exposure. Families are exposed to local art instructors and educational opportunities that can positively shape the future of these students.”

Maps will be available at all artist locations and at the Loveland Museum in October or visit www.lovelandartstudiotour.com to see the map. A preview exhibition will be held at the Loveland Museum Oct. 11-Nov. 10, 2024. Come meet the artists of the tour for an opening reception at the Loveland Museum, set for Friday, Oct. 11 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Foote Gallery.

The Loveland Art Studio Tour is a local nonprofit that supports the artists of Loveland by giving them an opportunity to open their studios to the public and show off their unique talents.
