Bring the family or your sweetheart for FREE fun in the Sweetheart City, including a day full of LIVE ice sculpting, fire and art demonstrations, musical and dance performances on our community stage and the Little Miss Valentine & Little Mister Cupid Contest at the Historic Rialto Theater. The Sweetheart Festival is an extension of Loveland’s 80 year history as the nation’s Sweetheart City. There is something for everyone – chocolate, running, art, and MUCH MORE!

Sweetheart Stroll Venue Crawl

Take part in the venue crawl, by getting your Venue Crawl Passport at the  Visit Loveland booth, receive at least five stamps by visiting venues and return it to the Visit Loveland booth for a FREE Official Loveland Love Lock!*

The Foundry Plaza
Fire & Ice: Featuring Torch Mouth with a fire heart sculpture, live carvers, a carving graffiti wall, and ice sculpture photo props. Explore a variety of vendors on 3rd Street and leave your mark by taking part in the community mural.

Celebrate love with the afternoon Group Wedding, where couples say “I do” together in a joyful community ceremony. Then, step into the evening at the Sweetheart Ball, a 1940s-themed dance featuring a live big band, reenactors, and classic ballroom fun (ticketed events).

The Cleveland Room at desk chair
The Sweets Haven is your one-stop dessert venue, featuring donuts, chocolates, cookies, ice cream, cupcakes, crepes, cinnamon rolls, and more. From 6–9 PM on The Rooftop, enjoy a special Ice Cream & Cocktail Pairing by 477 Distilling and Sub Zero Ice Cream with three bite-sized scoops and Valentine-inspired tasting pours. Live serenading by Vi Wickam and outdoor heaters set the mood for a sweet, cozy evening.

The Loveland Museum
Guests can explore hands-on Valentine’s crafts at their own pace, including a vintage-style card station with retro imagery, lace accents, and nostalgic flair, plus multiple craft tables with simple projects for all ages. Staff and volunteers will offer light guidance while guests freely create, and participating vendors will add balloon art, face painting, a Valentine’s photo booth, and clay crafts for even more fun.

Rialto Theater
The day features family-friendly fun with the Little Miss Valentine & Mr. Cupid Contest and a Children’s Entrepreneur Market upstairs in the Deveraux Room where young makers (ages 5–17) sell handmade goods, treats, and games. Later, enjoy a romantic movie screening, followed by an evening of laughs at the “Love & Laughter LIVE!” comedy show featuring Vinnie Montez and Lisa Lane (ticketed events).

Love & Laughter LIVE!
Featuring: Vinnie Montez and Lisa Lane

You’ll love this side-splitting comedy duo!

Vinnie Montez, a nationally touring stand-up comic and law enforcement veteran, transforms life’s toughest moments into uproarious, relatable humor that connects audiences and leaves them feeling lighter and uplifted after every set.

Joining him is the irreverently hilarious Lisa Lane, the over-educated “goofball” whose sharp wit turns the everyday chaos of parenting, marriage, and middle age into laugh-out-loud comedy gold. Together they deliver a night of heart-warming jokes and clever observations– it’s the perfect compliment to your Sweetheart Festival fun!

'Damn Tall Buildings' and Comedian Jen Kober

Spend Valentine’s Day Eve tapping your feet and laughing alongside loved ones.

Damn Tall Buildings started as three friends busking bluegrass and fiddle tunes on the streets of Boston & NYC (thus the band’s name). They continue that vibe singing about the beauty and glory in the mundane struggle of everyday life, laughing, and looking out the window and dreaming about what else might be out there.

Jen Kober spits out an original blend of stand-up, storytelling, and improvised rock-n-roll storytelling.

In addition to winning Snap Judgement’s Comedic Performance of the Year in 2017, she has played a variety of roles on shows like The Mandalorian, The Righteous Gemstones, Disney’s Bunk’d, American Horror Story, The Purge, among so many others. Currently she is appearing as the featured comedian in Cirque Du Soleil’s Mad Apple.

Sweetheart City Racing presents the annual Sweetheart Classic 4-mile at the Loveland Sweetheart Festival. With a race start and awards in Downtown Loveland, it will be right in the center of the action of the Loveland Sweetheart Festival. You will love our new 4-mile race course along the Recreational path as you leave Downtown Loveland!
